A very handsom copy of one of the finest illustrated editions of Walton ever published. For this extensively illustrated edition, Pickering employed 27 of the most prominent artist, painters, and engravers of the day.

Hinges slightly rubbed but very solid. A little scuffing to the leather. Varying degrees of offsetting/browning from plates and occasional light foxing as typical of much 19th century paper and ink. Coigney 44. Bookplate.
